Q:
I have received my license code after I purchased the LunaSuite. I am now trying to register the LunaSuite however the serial number that is on my Newton is not accepted by your registration page.

A:
The Newton serial number that is requested is not the serial number on the case. Rather it is a number provided by an IC that's inside your Newton. Although there are a number of applications that allow you to retrieve this Number (e.g. NewtonID), this will be not necessary for registering LunaSuite.
If you use the LunaSuite itself to go to our registration pages the LunaSuite will automatically fill out the required name and Newton serial number. The only thing that you will have to fill out is your license number.


Q:
For each request that the browser does, a window comes up asking to select an owner and worksite. Is there any way to disable this feature?

A:
Yes there is. Go to the Inbox or Outbox and from the 'i' button choose 'Inet HTTP Prefs'. In here you will find a checkbox to disable this feauture.


Q:
My Notepad and NewtonWorks have a menu item View using LunaSuite. What is this and how can I use it.

A:
View using LunaSuite allows you to view data that you have in text format on the Notepad or in NewtonWorks as formatted data in the LunaSuite. You can for instance have HTML in text form that you can view formatted wit the LunaSuite. The View using LunaSuite option will look at the first line of the text to determine what you want your data viewed as. This should be a so called MIME type. For HTML this is text/html. An example:

Q:
I get an error while downloading the LunaSuite, something like "This sofware may not work on this Unit. Contact the software publisher.". What should I do.

A:
This is fortunately not a very serious error. The LunaSuite requires to be downloaded in a certain order. If the packages are downloaded in the wrong order you will see this error. Restart your Newton after the download has completed and you should not see any errors anymore. If you do, please contact us at lunasuite-support@lunatech.com.
