Rotterdam, The Netherlands, 12 January 1998 Lunatech Research announces the release of LunaSuite Pro 2.1Bc286 LunaSuite is a set of modular network tools for Newton technologies. LunaSuite integrates with the Newton 2.1 Operating System. It adds functionality to Newton's Names, Owners and Worksites, InBox, OutBox and every application that uses transports. LunaSuite provides a "plug-in" architecture. Currently available modules include eMail, a WWW Browser, FTP, and GSM-SMS (Nokia). The MP 2100 is highly recommended for use with LunaSuite. About this release:This release fixes a minor security problem in the LunaSuite Pro 2.1Bc285. The bug allowed any webpage to execute scripts on the client. This version contains no other bugfixes or improvements. Thanks go to Richard Li for pointing out this bug to us. Users that already have registered LunaSuite already will not have to do so again with this new version. Unlock codes will remain valid. LunaSuite Availability, Download and Support:This LunaSuite Preview release will only run on Newton OS 2.1 units and requires NIE 2.0. This version will expire 30 days after installing the software. All support and distribution of LunaSuite will be done via the LunaSuite web site. There is documentation, bug reporting forms, mailing lists and other supporting technical documentation available on the site. The site will be updated shortly with improved documentation, API doumentation, and support forums. And of course, we will also continue to monitor the Newton news groups. After the 30 day trial, you will need an unlock code if you want to continue using the LunaSuite. The unlock code for your version of the LunaSuite can be obtained through the Lunatech Research after purchasing LunaSuite from the web site.
