Lunatech Research announces the release of LunaSuite Pro 2.1Bc285

LunaSuite is a set of modular network tools for Newton technologies. LunaSuite integrates with the Newton 2.1 Operating System. It adds functionality to Newton's Names, Owners and Worksites, InBox, OutBox and every application that uses transports. LunaSuite provides a "plug-in" architecture. Currently available modules include eMail, a WWW Browser, FTP, and GSM-SMS (Nokia). The MP 2100 is highly recommended for use with LunaSuite.

About this release:

This LunaSuite Preview release will only run on Newton OS 2.1 units and requires NIE 2.0. This version will expire 30 days after installing the software. What's new in this release:

• Error handling has improved;
• Several bugs in HTML display are fixed, HTML tables were completely reimplemented and now support borders, spacing and padding, TEXTAREA's now work properly and anchors are implemented. Content Overview of HTML data now jumps to the correct position within the HTML;
• HTTP caching improved and bugs in it fixed;
• It is now possible to receive large email messages without running out of heap;
• Scrolling in the multipart viewer no longer fails for email messages;
• 2 Color GIF images now display correctly;
• Fixed lots of miscellaneous bugs and reported problems;
• And a few other nice surprises...

All support and distribution of LunaSuite will be done via the LunaSuite web site. There is documentation, bug reporting forms, mailing lists and other supporting technical documentation available on the site. The site will be updated shortly with improved documentation, API doumentation, and support forums. And of course, we will also continue to monitor the Newton news groups. You can try the LunaSuite for 30 days for free. During this period the LunaSuite is fully functional. After the 30 day trial, you will need an unlock code if you want to continue using the LunaSuite. The unlock code for your version of the LunaSuite can be obtained through the Lunatech Research after purchasing LunaSuite from the web site. Prices have been established at $69 for the electronically downloaded version, and $79 for the CD ROM version which will be available during January 1998. Distributor enquiries are welcome.
